    The annual India-EU Forum on Effective Multilateralism took place in New Delhi on 27 and 28 September 2011. The event was organised by the EUISS, the Indian Council for World Affairs (ICWA) of the Indian Ministry of External Relations and the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM).

    The EUISS Annual Conference 2010 took place this year in Paris on 21-22 October. This year’s theme centred on the changing role played by civil society in the global agenda. Its subsequent focus was on how best to capitalise on these ongoing transformations with a view to building an effective multilateral approach to global and regional problems.

    The Institute organised a conference jointly with the Swedish Presidency of the EU and in collaboration with the Swedish Institute of International Affairs in Brussels on ESDP. The event was also the occasion for the launch of the Institute's new book 'What ambitions for European defence in 2020?'

    The Institute’s Washington Forum, brought together EU and US policy makers and researchers to discuss key foreign policy issues likely to be high on the agenda of incoming US administration, providing an open exchange of views from both sides of the Atlantic.
